Medical notice
SpineCalc is a calculation and educational support tool. It does not constitute a medical device, nor a clinical decision support system. It holds no COFEPRIS marketing authorisation, no CE marking and no FDA clearance.
It must not be used as the sole basis for a surgical indication. Interpretation of the results and responsibility for clinical decisions rest exclusively with the treating physician.
Absence of affiliation
This software proposes no new parameters, thresholds or classification systems. It automates the calculation of methods published by third parties, whose conceptual and scientific merit belongs entirely to their original authors. Virtual Medical Learning and the authors of this implementation have no institutional, contractual or endorsement relationship with those authors, nor with the Scoliosis Research Society, the European Spine Study Group or the publishers of the cited works.
No figure, table, nomogram or copyrighted graphic material from the source publications is reproduced in this software. All anatomical illustrations and geometric diagrams in the interface are original work.
Privacy and data
SpineCalc stores no data. Calculation, radiograph annotation and report generation run entirely in the browser: images, measurements and case data are not transmitted to any server and are discarded when the page is closed. There are no user accounts and no consent to accept. The only thing that can be sent is the optional, anonymous feedback survey (rating and comment, with no identifiers).
